On August 3, Xpeng officially unveiled its all-new mid-to-large SUV Xpeng G9L, positioned as a global 5-seat tech flagship targeting the 300,000 RMB new energy vehicle market for both domestic and overseas consumers. Developed over three years on Xpeng’s flagship GX platform, the model will be available in both BEV and extended-range variants, serving as a key product for Xpeng’s global expansion strategy.
It measures 5120×1999×1782 mm with a wheelbase of 3100 mm, with cabin space fully optimized for five passengers. Equipped with an 800V high-voltage fast charging system, the vehicle can add 450 km of driving range within 9 minutes. Dual-chamber air suspension and rear-wheel steering come as standard configuration.
The cabin features the world’s first full-body AI adaptive seating technology. Built with 91 pressure sensors capable of detecting weight changes as low as 2 grams, the seats automatically adjust support according to each occupant’s posture. For intelligent driving, it carries the upgraded 2nd-generation VLA system with a total computing power of 2250 TOPS, alongside an onboard offline large AI model enabling multi-modal cabin interaction and local vehicle fault diagnosis.
Engineered to meet five-star crash standards of four major global certification bodies, the G9L is planned for launch in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Europe and other overseas regions. He Xiaopeng, Chairman of Xpeng Motors, stated that the Xpeng G9L aims to set a new benchmark in the 300,000 RMB NEV segment. Pre-orders and official launch are scheduled for Q3 2026.
