Recently, according to foreign media reports, Musk is planning to introduce supplier resources from Tesla's Shanghai factory near a new factory in Mexico. Musk has invited Chinese suppliers to replicate the supply chain system of the Shanghai factory. The purpose of Musk's move is to enable Mexican factories to produce Tesla cars at lower costs, while also providing services to nearby Tesla factories in Texas, USA.

Experts believe that it is logical for American car companies to utilize China's efficient and low-cost supply chain. Last year, during a visit to the Shanghai factory, Musk praised Chinese companies and the Shanghai factory for achieving the world's highest productivity levels.
However, Tesla's actions may also face resistance from the US government, the Federation of American Automobile Workers, and the Canadian Automotive Parts Trade Organization. The relevant report shows that the United States is seeking to control the flow of products from China through Mexico.
The US government is studying how to modify tariffs to restrict Chinese car imports, so Chinese car companies are more eager to establish a foothold in Mexico and establish a sound supplier system. In response, the US Treasury Secretary went to Mexico in December to develop an agreement to strengthen Mexico's scrutiny of foreign investment.
Although economists believe that the United States should not completely shut down its foreign trade with China, the Canadian Association of Automotive Parts Suppliers is concerned that a large number of Chinese automotive suppliers may replace current North American supplier companies.
